Following feedback and some more GUI changes, the first stable release of this software goes live. Changes include the ability to download with the video title from YouTube. Once again, feedback/comments are more than useful!

A NEW release of the YourTube-Downloader tool has been released. This fixes several bugs, makes the .flv format the default, and now handles unavailable "best quality" videos better. Also style has been changed to GTK theme. Find the new version at the download page. Enjoy :)
Yourtube-downloader, a free software tool allowing users to download youtube videos to their PC in a variety of formats, including the compliant format for the IPOD (mp4). Users can also choose their desired resolution of the video. Other options include the ability to specify the location where videos are to be stored and a diagnostics tool make sure your PC has the necessary facilities to run this software. The software is aimed and tested for the Linux operating system. At this stage I would really appreciate feedback to make this tool better. Enjoy :)
